It's not that Kieren thinks he's normal or anything (he's really not), but catching a bloke talking to a porcelain clown is sort of the thing he'd expect of Amy Dyer, not really a strange and random person in the art gallery. It's enough that he stands there warily, just on the cusp of the room, peering inside and keeping an eye on that clown as if he expects it to come to life or do something, only it just keeps sitting there, a bit concerned about the look on its face.
