Test Drive 1
Welcome to All Inclusive's test drive! Anyone is welcome!
Name: The character's name
Canon: The character's canon
Location: Choose: Somewhere in the hotel or grounds or through a door
Guidelines
- Please make sure you are familiar with how we play and what characters are allowed before participating.
- Writing should be in para/prose just like in the main game. That means no brackets, no asterisks, etc. No network posts, please.
- No anonymous comments.
- We very strongly suggest NOT writing your character's first time at the Nexus, but rather a random scenario once they've gotten more used to the idea of the place. The shock and surprise of new arrivals and subsequent info dump by whomever meets them tends to be one note.
- Entries to the test drive may be of any length. However, if your intro (top-level) comment is of normal post length and you are proud of the quality, you may use it as an example on your application.
- Feel free to tag around the meme with any character you already play or are considering, even if they don't have their own intro comment.
- If your character is accepted into the game and you have permission from the other involved players, you may consider test drive threads as game canon. You may also linkdrop them to the main community if you choose.
- Please use the header below for your intro/top-level comment.

"Ah, no," Luce corrects, the flush in her cheeks equally a bit of embarrassment and a lot of pride. "She's my girlfriend," she says, utterly delighted to be announcing it. Honestly, she'd be happy to stand up on a rooftop and shout it for everyone in the world to hear if she got her way, but telling one person at a time works too. "Going on about four months, now, she and I."

"Oh." This was something that Jon had grown used to after years on the island and now here in the Nexus and it wasn't as shocking as it might have been several years ago.
"Well, congratulations to you both. It is always good to see people happy."

Luce smiles warmly and nods, rubbing her palms up and down her thighs. "Thank you," she says and while she honestly doesn't want to load a stranger down with the story, she knows that she has to be grateful that she is happy, because her story could have gone down a much sadder road. "Do you have anyone like that in your life?"
no subject
"I do," Jon said. "I have my betrothed, Leah. We've been together for some time and we have yet to marry but eventually, we will." Jon just wanted the perfect ceremony and the perfect way to celebrate their union and those things took time.

"I'd like to get married, I think," Luce says, but she knows the topic is obviously a bit of a touchy one given that Rachel is still coming off her other wedding. She's also convinced Rachel's parents aren't going to shill out for another big affair, so anything they do is definitely going to have to be small. "Have you set a date, then?"
no subject
"No, not as such. I know that it will be small, only a few friends, but we have not determined when we would like to have the ceremony." Jon was unaware that two women could marry one another but he supposed it wasn't as strange as some of the things he'd seen in his life - surely if there were White Walkers and the rumor of dragons, two women who loved one another marrying shouldn't be so strange.
"It seems exciting, though, the prospect of taking a wife. I never thought I would be able to."

One of the things that Luce loves about the Nexus is getting to hear other people's stories. True, she has her bad days just like anyone else, but she loves listening to people and then finding out about them. Usually, it helps her business. Right now, it just makes her feel good. "Were you given to someone else? Or something else, maybe? Back where I come from, we have priests that aren't allowed to marry. Of course, up until recently, I wasn't allowed to marry anyone either by the laws."

"I was a man of the Night's Watch, my vow wouldn't allow me to marry or father children," Jon pointed out. "It was something I took very seriously back in Westeros."
He still took it seriously, yes, but he loved Leah more than he loved his vow.
