Test Drive 1
Welcome to All Inclusive's test drive! Anyone is welcome!
Name: The character's name
Canon: The character's canon
Location: Choose: Somewhere in the hotel or grounds or through a door
Guidelines
- Please make sure you are familiar with how we play and what characters are allowed before participating.
- Writing should be in para/prose just like in the main game. That means no brackets, no asterisks, etc. No network posts, please.
- No anonymous comments.
- We very strongly suggest NOT writing your character's first time at the Nexus, but rather a random scenario once they've gotten more used to the idea of the place. The shock and surprise of new arrivals and subsequent info dump by whomever meets them tends to be one note.
- Entries to the test drive may be of any length. However, if your intro (top-level) comment is of normal post length and you are proud of the quality, you may use it as an example on your application.
- Feel free to tag around the meme with any character you already play or are considering, even if they don't have their own intro comment.
- If your character is accepted into the game and you have permission from the other involved players, you may consider test drive threads as game canon. You may also linkdrop them to the main community if you choose.
- Please use the header below for your intro/top-level comment.

Of course, there's no telling what you might miss if you hole up in your room. Like, for instance, a bacon fanatic with an air of extremely unsettling familiarity about him.
Pausing on her way to a table, she looked at the guy, then looked skeptically around the room, and then looked back again, full plate wobbling atop her hand.
"Jesus," she said, arching her eyebrows. "I'd hate to see the other guy. You okay?"

"I swear this is not as creepy as it sounds, but you want some company? It just seems weird for both of us to be sitting by ourselves, but if you want to be alone with your breakfast meats, I completely understand."

Speaking of.
"I ordered eggs," he announced to the air, before pausing. Huh. No desire to correct himself, to explain to her that was not at all true.
Perhaps he had been doing it to himself after all.
"Sorry. Ignore that. Ignore everything I just said. Please, feel free to sit with me. I could use the company."

"That wasn't a judgment call, about the meat," Fiona clarified with a bemused smile. "Sometimes a guy just needs a giant mound of bacon to go with his chocolate shake. Nothing at all weird about that." Her smile quirked, and she picked up her fork.
"I'm Fiona, by the way."

"Only strange in that someone would show so much good taste at once," he quipped in return. "I am Loki."

Once he'd said it, of course, it made perfect sense. She'd thought maybe he'd been from Loki's same planet or something, that they shared a penchant for haughtiness and viking-wear, but now she could see similarities everywhere she looked.
"You don't know me," she slowly replied, not sure if it was a statement or a question. Had he gone through a door that aged him down? Had it fucked with his memory? Could this be a doppelganger? Was that even possi-
Yes, obviously it was. This was the Nexus.

"Please clarify which me is supposed to know you before I panic." Because if it was King Loki or, worse, the younger Loki, he might as well drown himself in the shake the waitress just put in front of him.

"Uhhhh, older you?" she tried. "Sometimes wears suits? I don't even know what that means, which you. How many of you are there?"

Doppelganger it was, then. She wasn't sure if that was better or worse than the alternative.

The casual use of the term bothered her, and not just because of her personal experience. In the back of her mind was a niggling little voice, a suspicion that Fiona quickly tried to tamp down. There were times when Loki could seem so distant or melancholy, particularly recently.
