Test Drive 1
Welcome to All Inclusive's test drive! Anyone is welcome!
Name: The character's name
Canon: The character's canon
Location: Choose: Somewhere in the hotel or grounds or through a door
Guidelines
- Please make sure you are familiar with how we play and what characters are allowed before participating.
- Writing should be in para/prose just like in the main game. That means no brackets, no asterisks, etc. No network posts, please.
- No anonymous comments.
- We very strongly suggest NOT writing your character's first time at the Nexus, but rather a random scenario once they've gotten more used to the idea of the place. The shock and surprise of new arrivals and subsequent info dump by whomever meets them tends to be one note.
- Entries to the test drive may be of any length. However, if your intro (top-level) comment is of normal post length and you are proud of the quality, you may use it as an example on your application.
- Feel free to tag around the meme with any character you already play or are considering, even if they don't have their own intro comment.
- If your character is accepted into the game and you have permission from the other involved players, you may consider test drive threads as game canon. You may also linkdrop them to the main community if you choose.
- Please use the header below for your intro/top-level comment.

"How're you feeling? This place okay for you, so far?" He liked the place, more or less, but he had no idea what she might think of it, really.

She sighed softly when Angela settled and began to eat. Her shoulders relaxed and she leaned her head back to rest her neck. "I like it a lot. I was hoping to get around to exploring it properly today, but little miss decided she needed attention more." Elizabeth sighed with contentment. "Hopefully she'll go down for a nap after this, anyway. I suppose I could pick up a book to read while I'm here." She wondered what he was reading. His books were all turned at angles that she couldn't see without moving.

"It seems the place for it, yes." He smirked. "I was pondering some books on oceans, currents, and ships."

The world was more than the open sea. He just had to make himself remember that.

"There are supposed to be some beautiful gardens outside. I could fetch Angie's stroller if you want to go for a walk." Maybe fresh air would be a distraction.

"Could be fun. I've not gone looking for those, yet." And it might show other things of interest.

She mulled things over silently for a little bit, then decided to address a concern she'd had since their arrival in the hotel. "I hope you don't feel constrained by our agreement. There are a lot of other people here, it's okay if you want to get to know them and explore other potential relationships. As long as you're there for Angela I'll be happy." At least she thought she would be. It wasn't fair to say so if she wasn't, anyway.

Elizabeth lifted her head again and looked down at Angela. "I do wish there were more children here. I'd hoped to find a home for her where she would have peers."

Things seemed to be canted better for them, here.

"Seems like this place could lead us to new possibilities. maybe we'll find what we need by looking for them. When I sailed the seas, you had to plan, keep an ear open, and keep looking, always. And I think we still do need that, here, too."

Killian believed in having a plan, even if it was only 12% of a plan.

Angela's feeding seemed to be tapering off. Elizabeth sighed in relief. Sitting still like this was difficult when there was a new place to explore! "She's about done, you don't need to stand guard anymore."

"Okay." He sauntered in, and smiled down at Angela, then gestured to the book he had been reading, lifting it and opening it. "This one has pictures galore, and colored, too, might make her smile." It was a mapbook, with illustrations, too, in vivid colors, and illustrated text along the way.

Beside, reading to her daughter made Elizabeth very happy. It seemed to benefit them all. "I'll leave you to decide which book you'll check out while I get her stroller. Do try not to miss me too much." Elizabeth stood and offered Killian the baby. "Here, maybe she'll tell you which book she prefers." Hopefully he'd be wise enough to close the books before offering the baby a choice.

Killian grinned and took Angela, arms naturally enfolding her in what was now a well practiced position as he held her close. "Maybe she would. We'll see what she likes." He winked at Elizabeth, then made his way to the shelves, wandering with her.
